Bad news, Passo. I will wish very hard for you to get a new computer very soon. When you do, maybe you can have an external hard drive, mine is 160gB. I have Photoshop on it, and I save all my work, my photos, document, emails, my collection of brushes and patterns etc from other deviants. I also have a surge protector on the computer to stop the power swimming through, but the main thing is at night, I can take the drive off and everything is safe !! Also I can plug it in (USB) to any computer and I can use everything. so a laptop would be a bit slow, but with another stick of RAM, not too bad. Good Luck. In the meantime don't forget to use a Visual Diary, to draw and write in.
